At The Affirmation Network, we value and prioritize our clients' confidentiality. It is our commitment to comply with the laws, rules, and regulations regarding client privacy, including HIPAA. We respect professional confidences and only disclose them when legally obliged to do so or when there is a clear and immediate threat to an individual or society.
As a recovery coach, we would like to note some of our limitations to provide clarity to our clients. We do not provide diagnoses or offer primary treatment for addictions, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, or any mental health disorders. Our role is not that of a therapist, counselor, clinician, or sponsor, nor are we medical professionals or healers.
If we feel that an individual needs a higher level of care or has psychiatric issues, self-harm, cutting, suicidality, or any concerns we cannot assist with, we will refer them appropriately. Additionally, we reserve the right to discontinue our services if a client is non-compliant, or we feel endangered for any reason.
However, it is our duty as recovery coaches to warn or protect individuals who are in imminent danger, including minors. Rest assured that at The Affirmation Network, we aim to provide the best possible service while prioritizing our clients' privacy and well-being.
